Brevard NOW Presents “The Batey Girls” Empowering Young Women from Human Trafficking.

Join Brevard NOW as we welcome the director of the Batey Girls.
Batey Girls was established in 2017 by the nonprofit organization Batey Rehab Project (BRP) to provide economic opportunities for women and girls escaping human trafficking, exploitation and domestic violence in the Dominican Republic. 100% of the proceeds from the jewelry brand benefit the nonprofit that provides holistic care for women and their children, including shelter, reproductive and mental health support, nutrition, education, parenting support, legal counsel, prosecution and advocacy services, faith and community.
Batey Girls jewelry is handcrafted by women and girls escaping human trafficking, exploitation and domestic violence in the Dominican Republic.
We welcome all to our meetings, the event is free and food and drink will be available for purchase.
