Protecting Abortion with Stephanie Loraine

I am so excited to announce this month’s speaker is Stephanie Loraine, Executive Director from Florida Access Network (formerly Central Florida Women’s Emergency Fund). She is an advocate for reproductive Health and justice. You will want to hear what she has to say as women’s health care and right to privacy is under attack. The Florida Access Network is an organization dedicated to Floridians’ pursuit of reproductive freedom. They fund abortions and provide logistical support to people experiencing barriers to access care such as transportation. They are a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization and rely on donations to continue supporting abortion access in our community.

Please join us this Tuesday, July 9th at Kenny D’s in Palm Bay from 6 pm to 8 pm. Kenny D’s is located at 4711 Babcock St NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905. The event is free and there is food and drink for purchase. (Be on the lookout for a new future location in Melbourne).

We will be selling Brevard NOW T-Shirts for a donation of $20.00 each and buttons for $1.00 each. All of our funds help our community in some way.

Brevard NOW is helping the homeless and has raised over $600.00 and collected lots of items. Please bring donations of women’s toiletries. All feminine products needed, wipes, underwear, socks, water and tents. You can donate cash and we will buy what is needed.

9 out of 10 women will use birth control at some point in their lives. Contraception shouldn’t be controversial.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance, a day to honor those whose lives have been lost to transphobic violence and systems of oppression. It’s also a day to commit to fighting for the fundamental freedom of 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 body. #TDoR2020

If the #ACA is overturned, more than 58 million women who get their health insurance through work would no longer be guaranteed contraception, maternity care, or screenings for breast and cervical cancer.

Dismantling the ACA would have devastating effects, yet that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is trying to do with their health care repeal lawsuit. Millions will lose access to care if the lawsuit is successful. #NeedMyACA
